Short Description:

The Package Clamping Force Testing Machine is designed to simulate the clamping forces applied to packaged products during handling, loading and unloading with mechanical clamps. The test evaluates whether packaging can withstand the pressure and mechanical forces generated by clamp-type material handling equipment during transportation and distribution.

The clamping plates can perform clamping, opening, lifting and lowering movements, allowing different handling conditions to be simulated. A force sensor and digital display are provided to calibrate and monitor the applied clamping force, with selectable clamping forces from 2,000 to 5,000 lb.

The equipment is designed for testing according to ASTM D6055, applicable Sears packaging requirements, and specific customer-defined testing procedures.
