Foam Compression Set Testing Machine

Short Description:

The Foam Compression Set Testing Machine is designed to determine the compression set and permanent deformation of flexible foam and sponge materials after controlled compression, temperature exposure, and recovery.

The test specimen is compressed to a specified percentage of its original thickness, typically 50%, and maintained under controlled temperature conditions for a specified period. After the compression period, the specimen is removed from the compression device and allowed to recover for a specified time. Its final thickness is then measured to calculate the compression set.

The machine is equipped with a dedicated compression device and a high-temperature chamber with a temperature range of RT+10°C to +250°C. It is suitable for polyurethane foam, flexible cellular polymeric materials, sponge materials, cushioning materials, and other flexible foam products.

The equipment is designed according to the requirements provided for GB/T 6669-2008, ISO 1856, ASTM D3574 Test D, and JIS K6400-7, making it suitable for material development, quality control, and laboratory testing.
