6-Station Martindale Abrasion & Pilling Tester

Short Description:

This 6-station Martindale abrasion tester is designed to evaluate the abrasion resistance of textiles, shoe uppers, linings, insoles and similar fabrics. It is manufactured based on J.G. Martindale principle and meets Wool Industries Research Association (WIRA) specifications.

Core Abrasion Test: Adopts standard wool felt as friction medium to rub fabric specimens. The friction medium can be replaced with sandpaper or other materials according to different test standards to measure material abrasion loss and color transfer/color fastness.
Lissajous Multi-directional Friction Motion: Specimens are clamped on cylindrical holders with standard weighted load. Driven by vertical and horizontal eccentric wheels, the friction head runs in a standard Lissajous trajectory to realize omnidirectional rubbing, which perfectly simulates complex friction during actual wearing.
Dry & Wet Dual Test Modes: For footwear materials, both dry and wet testing are supported to simulate the influence of rain on shoe upper and sweat on shoe lining, truly restoring real service conditions.
6-group simultaneous testing improves laboratory efficiency greatly, with LCD cycle counter for automatic preset stop after target abrasion cycles.
